Preparing for Change with Strategic Communications

Tags: , ,

Commencing in 2018, the Australian Government’s Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety is an industry-changing initiative. Our client, a Queensland provider of aged care services, engaged P4 Group to advise on and deliver a proactive corporate communications and engagement strategy to support the organisation during a period of industry transformation.

Our client wanted to achieve key outcomes through this brief with P4 Group, including:

  • Articulate the position of the organisation
  • Inform staff, residents and the community
  • Establish a plan for engagement and communication
  • Inform internal leadership around the 18-month process
  • Maintain high performing business as usual operations

P4 Group worked closely with the client’s communications team to develop a strategy including risk assessment, implementation calendar, key messages, FAQs, media statements as well as media refresher training. Understanding the demands of a public enquiry process and an industry in transformation, we helped our client map out a reputational risk assessment and proactive approach.

By equipping our client’s internal stakeholders with knowledge, advice and communication tools such as consistent FAQs and positioning statements, this brief has helped to provide clarity and prepare the organisation and its staff, residents and community during a period of industry review and change.
