P4 Group was engaged by Brisbane Markets on a project basis to achieve positive editorial coverage (print, online, radio and TV) across South East Queensland in the lead up to and on the day of the 15th annual Brisbane Produce Markets Mango Auction.


    To generate positive media coverage for the Brisbane Produce Markets Charity Mango Auction, with a focus on:

    • The start of the Queensland mango season
    • Charity beneficiaries (Diabetes Queensland and Life Education) of the Brisbane Produce Market Charity Mango Auction
    • Independent retailers – with a key focus on “your local fruit shop” campaign.


    To ensure maximum media exposure, P4 Group developed a strategic communications plan, which included profiling the 2015 auction winner and local fruit shop owner for features in the lead up to the event and inviting media to attend on the day to capture the action and report on the event’s results.   


    P4 Group worked with the Brisbane Produce Markets team to achieve 43 pieces of positive media coverage across 37 local, state-wide and national media outlets. Highlights include:

    • Three live television features, including a live cross on Sunrise Australia (Channel 7)
    • Four radio features
    • Five print features
    • 28 online features
    • Worked with Australian Mangoes to secure and manage seven Brisbane-based digital influencers to attend and post about the event on their social media channels.
