Boasting 35 years of award-winning experience, two of the state’s leading communications consultancies, P4 Group and Ruby Communications have joined forces to form one of the country’s largest independently owned integrated agencies.
With offices in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, the dynamic marketing and communications powerhouse bolsters P4 Group’s service offering across public relations, digital, creative, marketing, communications and stakeholder engagement.
P4 Group’s extensive expertise in the corporate communications space perfectly complements Ruby Communications’ world-class consumer PR track record, cementing their position as a one-stop-shop for clients across all industry sectors.
P4 Group Founder and CEO Adrian Basile, who started the agency in 1995, said the acquisition strengthened both the expertise and talent across the expanded P4 Group.
Mr Basile revealed that Naomi Spies, Founder and Managing Director of Ruby Communications, will become the new Managing Director of P4 Group.
“Naomi and her team are incredibly talented communications professionals that have built a reputation for achieving exceptional outcomes for their clients and I am excited to see what we can achieve together,” Mr Basile said.
Ms Spies says she knew this was the right next step in her business journey.
“Ruby Communications has gone from strength to strength since we started on the Gold Coast in 2010, experiencing tremendous growth and an ever-expanding client base,” Ms Spies said.
“We had reached a critical point as a business, and to continue on this trajectory we needed a larger team with an integrated service offering. P4 Group was perfect as they are strongly aligned to our values and culture, with in-house specialised services across corporate communications, marketing, digital, photography and videography to complement our media relations and consumer communications expertise.”
The Ruby Communications Gold Coast office will retain the name Ruby Communications, adding the extension ‘part of P4 Group’ to its title, due to its strong market presence and long history, while Ruby’s Brisbane office, will merge with P4 Group.
Both companies were independently being advised by consultant and industry expert Fleur Madden who identified this significant growth opportunity for both companies, so she instigated the acquisition.
“The industry knowledge, passion and diversity P4 Group and Ruby Communications boast independently will prove their expertise and offering to be unparalleled in the sector,” Ms Madden said.
“This is a merger that will have a huge impact on the integrated communications sector in Queensland and beyond.”
With many businesses now on the road to recovery as the state enters Phase Three of COVID-19 restrictions, the merger positions P4 Group as the go-to agency for clients across a wide range of local, national and international clients.
